Happy Republic Day!!!

I had gone to Fun Republic to watch Raaz 2 - The Mystery Continues - yeah the mystery still continues as to why our Bollywood directors can't shoot a decent horror movie. And no this blog is not about Raaz - but for the fact when we enter the cinema hall with our popcorn, drinks that at times it seems like food piling competition. And then just at the start of the movie you will be requested to rise for the national anthem.

Forget rising, people literally glide through the first notes of the national anthem. Sometimes it makes me so furious as to catch hold of them and send them off to the LOC! There are some who are so engrossed in finding their seats as if somebody will steal their seats if they didn't reach in time, some who are bothered about stashing popcorn in their mouth, etc...etc. And no am not writing this blog to give them any piece of advice.

But am writing this coz there is this national anthem at Fun Republic which particularly moves me everytime I hear it. And I still haven't come across this National Anthem that Fun Republic plays. While other cinema halls play the usual National Anthem sung by classic and legendary singers (Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Pandit Jasraj, Hariharan), Fun Republic plays a different national anthem.

They show the Indian Army standing at the Siachen Glacier, standing tall and mighty against the freezing cold (where temperatures dip as low as -50 degrees Celsius) saluting the Indian flag. The next clip shows a soldier trying to hold the Indian Flag upright admidst the cold and gusty wind. That whole clip moves you so much that it gives you goose bumps when you see them getting drenched - with rain drops touching their face without any remorse (as if they deserve it). It ends with the Indian Army and Indian Air Force saluting the Indian Flag along with the credits for the national anthem that was played. Jai Hind!

To see or not to see a Psychologist!!!!

Today's news shouted from the top of their pens...."Sreesanth needs to see psychologists"...yea right! And you expect Sreesanth to come and sit in front of you while he rattles off why he feels like 'abusing', 'nailing' or being angry with all the other players in the field! In fact Sreesanth himself said he's trying to improve himself, bring changes in him, etc...so then why does he need to see a psycho when he knows he has some problem and he's trying to curb it. And for heaven's sake! He isn't some killer on the run! Tennis superstar John McEnroe, former World No.1 tennis player also had temper problems when he played, and this guy did damn well! So what's wrong when Sree does it? Yea its true if he shows this aggression as a player and I mean professionally. But should not take it on personally.

And who says the Australians are the kind gentlemen at heart or who get hurt so easily by these actions. They will get back if they have to and there are no two ways about it! And even we have seen their on-field action and I do mean 'action'! At least we have a player who does not chew his nails when he feels we will be losing out soon enough but someone who fights back!

So please leave the youngster alone and let him do his own evaluation as to what he needs to improve and I don't think there is anything wrong in him. Heck! The guy admitted he is highly (if that pleases you Mr Psychologist!) highly-aggressive!

So be aggressive Sreee...only do not take it personally be cool yet aggressive! And we love watching your actions on field!

Yahoooo....India is out of the World Cup!!!

For starters I dont care what the media says....who is going to replace whom, etc etc...coz is it worth worrying about it day and night who is going to be the captain, who is going to coach who is going to tamper the ball??!! Welll.....forget it

Coz I would say they deserved it right and forget reality hurts...but if you are seriously not prepared it would hurt even more...like the loss against Bangladesh says it all....and its the Bangladesh team which is in Super 8 and not us. Boohoooo....Now the BCCI will be reviewing this will check that and come up with what.....Last I heard was Mr Sharad Pawar saying that there will be two teams...What for? Who is more enthusiastic...bahhh....

Its high time that cricket is hyped and there is loads of over reacting from the public...lets concentrate on other sports and let the oldies of the cricket relax and come up with a plan that makes us all sit for the next World Cup till then concentrate on something that is interesting!

Bye for now!
